Ingersoll the Magnificent, center in red slipcase, reproduces atheist activist Joseph Lewis's concise summary of Ingersoll's life which he delivered at the dedication of the birthplace's second restoration in 1954.

The beige book upright at right is Robert G. Ingersoll: A Life by Frank Smith (1990), the most recent major biography of Ingersoll.
